Terms of use
These terms apply to yarnknots.com and the free browser demo of Yarn Knots (together, the “Site”), operated by Gudthingz (“Yarn Knots”, “we”, “us”). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site. The Yarn Knots mobile app will have its own terms when it launches.
Using the Site and demo
You may use the Site and play the demo for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. The demo is free, offered “as is”, and may change, reset or be taken down at any time. Progress saved in the demo lives only in your browser and may not carry over to the mobile app.
Please don’t
- copy, sell, redistribute or re-host the game, its code, artwork, characters or sounds;
- try to break, overload, hack or reverse-engineer the Site;
- use the Site for anything unlawful, or to send spam or harmful content through our forms;
- pick a nickname that is offensive, impersonates someone else, or infringes someone’s rights.
Our content
Yarn Knots, its name, logo, cats, artwork, code, text and sounds are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. These terms don’t give you any ownership of them. You’re welcome to share links to the Site and short screenshots or clips of the demo on social media, as long as you don’t suggest we endorse you.
Messages you send us
If you send us feedback, ideas or suggestions, you allow us to use them to improve Yarn Knots without any obligation to you.
Links to other sites
The Site links to services we don’t control, such as social networks and app stores. We aren’t responsible for their content or practices.
No warranty
The Site and demo are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don’t promise that they will always be available, error-free or secure.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or progress, arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to CAD $50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the Site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, except where the law of your place of residence requires otherwise.
